Worth Knowing

You can train ground troops in the barracks to protect your planet against an invasion - or for invading other planets! In case you get invaded and your planet gets occupied - your raw material productions will become tapped and automatically send 10% of your raw material production (from conquered planet) to the occupying player(s). The occupation will remain until other forces successfully accomplish an invasion (The player who has a majority of troops on the planet will then occupy it), the occupier robs you instead of occupying you, you set yourself free by building troops and defeat the occupying forces, or the forces of an opponent leaves 7 days after he invaded you - or earlier if he leaves on his own. In case he stays, his troops integrate into your population and end the invasion.

Requirement

In order to be able to build barracks, you must research " Ground Battle ".

Maintenance costs

By developing the barracks, maintenance costs of troops are reduced. Maintenance costs can be affected by political adjustment, compulsory military service, or by the amount of the regular army. Also multiple barracks can reduce the cost as well.

The following costs arise for the maintenance of 100.000 troops
Stage 1: 2.060 Credits/Day
Stage 10: 1.700 Credits/Day
Stage 20: 1.300 Credits/Day
Stage 30: 900 Credits/Day
Stage 40: 500 Credits/Day
Stage 50: 100 Credits/Day
