Resource Facilities Level 1

Trivia

There are 10 different resources. Ikolium is used for speeding up the game and can be bought for euros.

In the resource facilities building you can build and expand facilities for every resource individually.

One such facility provides at 80% efficiency e.g. 80% * 10 = 8 resources per hour.

Each resource facility building level allows the expansion of 50 facilities. Therefore level 10 gives you a maximum of 500.

Copper and iron are very important, as is titanium, about the others take a look at the table below. Hydrogen will become a more and more important resource in the progressing game as fuel for your fleet and is also prefered trading good.

In the beginning you should raise 5 facilities (also called mines) of each resource. They will be your base supply. Further expansion will be based upon the efficiency of each resource. Mine more resources with a higher efficiency than those with a lower rate, best only those above 90% efficiency. The maximum possible efficency is 100%, but looking for such planets is time-consuming.

Expansion according to efficiency

  • everything below 25% better SCRAP
  • 26% - 39% ... up to 5 facilities... maybe SCRAP as well
  • 40% - 59% 5 facilities for a base supply.
  • 60% - 69% 10 facilities
  • 70% - 79% 15 facilities
  • 80% - 89% expand further
  • 90% - 95% expand further
  • 95% - 100% try raising to 100 facilities. Resource facilities level 6 (300 facilities maximum)

A resource, that is provided on one planet with great efficiency (>90%), does not need to be produced on another planet. In the later run of the game you will have to scrap more and more of the ineffective mines and expand the already most efficient ones even futher.

Aim for latest stage of expansion:

Once you got all 5 planets, each resource should be mined on at least one planet with 98% or more. Titanium and Hydrogen should be mined on 2 if possible.

Resources ordered by importance

  1. Hydrogen -> very important (with at least 600 /h)
  2. Copper -> important for most resource facilities as well as laser
  3. Iron -> important for the majority of buildings and in fairly big amounts there
  4. Titanium -> required for building chassis and for some resource facilities ... later for weapons also
  5. Uranium -> is needed for shipyard expansion
  6. Silicon -> component building
  7. Nitrogen -> for scorps, a very useful weapon in the beginning
  8. Krypton -> for warp engines
  9. Mercury -> partly for lasers
  10. Aluminium -> partly for components
