Supplies

Why?
Your people need food, clothing, basic and of course luxury goods and everything else they can imagine. Think of it like this, you give your people a few resources and they will give you some credits for it. The requested amount depends on a few factors. The amount gets influenced by two things: firstly your political alignment which can even be reduced to zero. Secondly, the size of your population; while colonies usually have more then your main planet, which is indirectly the buildout of your planet.
The value "supply/day" at the resource info window tells you how much your people need.
- example
- The value "-170" at the iron window tells you that your people need 170 iron per day.
Different colors of resource amounts
The green value indicates that your daily production is able to cover the needs of the planet. If the value turns red your planet is not able to fulfill it. That means you need to get additional resources or your people will lose satisfaction.
This usualy happens if your resource facilities don't focus on low percentage resources (under 50%). Since its not economical the expand these, they have to be imported from other colonies or players, mined at asteroids, or bought at auction.
When does it happen?
The supplies will be collected once per day per planet. This event occurs at a random time which is different each day. You can check the time of the next event at your control center: at the bottom of the planets tab, Estimated next supply.
The income
The income depends on the satisfaction of your people. It is not displayed on purpose, if your people get the wanted amount it increases, if not it will decrease.
The amount of Credits gained is calculated like this:
- Credits = gathered amount * supplyprice * satisfaction
The supplyprice is a constant wich is equal for every player and for every planet. The satisfaction is a percent value. The value of the supplyprice is unknown and will remain so. By trading with other player and NPCs you usualy get more credits for your resources. The positive aspect of it however is that its constant, daily and safe. Additionally its easier to monitor it compared to NPC or Player trades.
Racial differences
Each race needs a different amount of ressources , however the sum of all is equal.
- you can see the amounts in the following table
